Why don't you start Awa Odori? Wakakomaren will hold open practice sessions on the following dates. If you would like to participate, please register on the “Application Form”. Beginners are welcome, no age limit, and family participation is also welcome! First of all, please feel free to come and experience Awa Odori!

◆【出演報告】第65回東京高円寺阿波おどり
2024年8月24日（土）、25日（日）：第65回東京高円寺阿波おどりが無事に終了しました。たくさんのご声援を頂き、ありがとうございました！！今年は、若駒の定番となった『かがり田楽』に加え、オリジナル楽曲『駿馬譚』での演舞も披露。また、新人加入で人数も増え、楽しく踊ることができました。引き続き若駒連をよろしくお願いいたします。
◆ 65th Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori
August 24th (sat) , 25th (sun) 2024, The 65th Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori Festival has come to a successful conclusion. Thank you very much for your many cheers! This year, in addition to “Kagari Dengaku,” which has become a Wakakoma staple, we performed an original piece, “Shunme Tan”. We were also able to enjoy dancing with the addition of newcomers to our group. We look forward to your continued support for Wakakoma-ren.
◆【出演報告】能登半島地震チャリティ阿波おどり
2月12日に能登半島地震チャリティ阿波おどりによる救援募金活動に参加しました。高円寺北口広場と商店街での演舞とあわせ、高円寺駅の南北駅前および新高円寺駅前での募金を行い、皆さまから2,445,433円の義援金が寄せられました。ご協力いただいた皆様に心よりお礼申し上げます。義援金は読売光と愛の事業団を通じて被災地に全額お届けします。被災地の一日も早い復興をお祈りしています。

◆ Noto Peninsula Earthquake Charity Awaodori
On February 12, we participated in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Charity Awa Odori Dance to raise funds for relief efforts. In addition to the performance at the Koenji North Exit Plaza and the shopping street, donations were collected in front of the north-south and new Koenji Stations. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who cooperated. All donations will be sent to the affected areas through Yomiuri Hikari to Ai no Jigyodan. We pray for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.

About Wakakoma-ren
While inheriting the traditions of Tokushima's authentic Awa Odori dance, we incorporate innovative performances and aim to create energetic children's dance, stylish and lively men's dance, and fun and beautiful women's dance, all with the motto of making the audience enjoy the performance.
踊り
正調阿波おどりを大切な基本としながら、若駒連らしさが発揮できるアレンジを行っています。子供踊り、男踊り、女踊りが渾然一体となった演技が見どころです。
Dance
While keeping the traditional Awa Odori as the important basis of the dance, we have arranged the dance in such a way that it shows the unique style of Wakakoma-ren. The highlight of the performance is the unification of children's dance, men's dance, and women's dance.
鳴り物
若駒連の鳴り物が大切にするもの、それは、踊り手に気持ちの良い調べを奏でること。そして、阿波徳島の音魂を再現すること。曲や技術だけではなく、阿波おどりの“心”を大切に、今日も騒きます。
Narimono (Instrument)
Wakakoma-ren's Narimono is to play a pleasant tune for the dancers. And to reproduce the spirit of the sound of Awa Tokushima. We make beat and melody, valuing not only the music and technique, but also the “spirit” of Awa Odori.

Wakakoma-ren is looking for members. We welcome anyone from children to adults, as long as they are motivated. If you are interested in joining or observing practice, please contact us!
